Predictions for UFC: 124

Hey everybody, yet again I find myself saying it's been awhile since my last one. I have been royally busy, but I have made time for my lovely UFC blog yet again and tonight we have ufc 124!

Thiago Alves v. John Howard: I am truly excited for this fight and I think it has what it takes to me fight of the night! Howard has shown great ability in his wrestling/takedowns, but Alves rocks his BJJ and has amazing striking. In my opinion Alves holds the edge here in most aspects.

Joe Stevenson v. Mac Danzig: So you may ask me "why would you pick daddy over Danzig?" My response is simple, Stevenson has been losing to good competitors, Danzig has been losing to nobodies. Simple enough Stevenson should dominate this fight.

Jim Miller v. Charles Oliveira: This one will be so close. So close that I could not intelligently pick a favorite so I picked MY favorite.

Stefan Struve v. Sean McCorkle In this fight I have Struve, he may not be very good but he has the edge here in most areas. I would say Struve needs to take him down and work the BJJ.

Georges St. Pierre v. Kos: Hands down GSP, there is no way in hell Kos can win. This is my personal pick of the evening

Flash Knockout: Makdessi, Almeida, Doekerson, Riddle, Natal, Hazlett

Predictions for UFC: 121

Okay, It's been now again almost a month since the last PPV which was UFC 119. On that glorious night however I went 5-0 on my picks for the main card 7-0 if you include spike prelims. In a sport as crazy as this that is quite an achievement for any fan.

Brendan Schuab v. Gabriel Gonzaga- Schuab is the underdog in this fight, but I definitely see him coming away with this one. Gonzaga has some pretty fantastic BJJ, but he is just on his way out of the UFC in my opinion. Schuab is on his way up, Schuab has some pretty incredible speed and strength. I see Schaub nullifying the ground game to come out with a KO.

Matt Hamill v. Tito Ortiz- Okay people the main thing I stress is that I am a fan first and an analyst second. I absolutely HATE Titio Ortiz. He is one of the biggest Douche Bags on this entire Planet. Hamill victory by whatever means necessary.

Paulo Thiago v. Diego Sanchez- Man this fight is incredibly tough. I'm going to break it down here. A BJJ monster with not a crazy lot of boxing or stand up, but he holds his own, versus, A wrestling monster, who thinks his stand up is sweet but gets destroyed every time he tries to stand. I see Thiago Sticking with his strength for the win.

Jake Shields v. Martin Kampmann- Jeez these fights are tough to call. Both of these fighters are great fighters, and have shown great skill in all areas of the octagon. I have Jake Shields via gut feeling. This will be a war.

Cain Velasquez v. Brock Lesnar- 100% Personal. If Brocky wins 1 more fight and shows respect like he did against Carwin he will earn my respect.

!!!NEW!!! "Flash Knockout Section" I pick Prelims at a glance.
Flash Knockout!
Yvel over Madsen
Camozzi Over Yang
Stout over Taylor
Roberts over Guymon
Lawlor over Cote
Mcgee over Jensen

Predictions for UFC: 119

Wow, it has almost been an entire month since the last UFC PPV event. Worth the wait for a sure to be explosive card though.

Melvin Guillard v. Jeremy Stephens- In this fight I have Guillard over Stephens. Both of these fighters, in my opinion, are very inconsistent. When Guillard comes out with his game face on he is highly explosive and hard to stop. It all depends on his performance.

Sean Sherk v. Evan Dunham- Sherk has been in the game way longer than Dunham. I feel like Sherk is going to make a successful comeback and and improve his record to 38-4-1 and give the young guys his 1st loss.

Chris Lytle v. Matt Serra- In this fight I definitely see Lytle beating out Serra. I feel Lytle has the advantage almost everywhere this fight goes, and he can pull out the win over Serra whether it on the ground or standing.

Ryan Bader v. Rogerio Nogueira- This match-up is going to be extremely close. Both of these guys have very similar strengths. I see Bader's Wrestling to nullify the BJJ of his opponent for a decision victory.

Frank Mir v. Mirko Cro Cop- This is easy Mir has an amazing ground game and Cro Cop does not. If things don't work standing early for Mir I definitely see him falling back to his ground game to pump out the win.

UFC 118 reaction

Wow! Last night was incredibly awesome. All of the fights were very very entertaining. Also Frank Edgar remained champion. This was by far the most entertaining fight. Edgar actually dominated Penn. I know big words, but its true. Edgar went out and executed his gameplan and won easily. His speed made Penn look sluggish. Also Couture and Toney was such a blowout. Toney has a lot of work to do if he keeps hit job in the UFC. Overall awesome night.

Predictions for UFC: 118

Hey guys, its been awhile since my last post. This Summer has been so hectic, but I'm back for good. Just for fun I went 4-2 on 117 my 2 wrongs being Fitch, and Silva.

Marcus Davis v. Nate Diaz- Davis and Diaz I believe will be more intriguing than people are giving it credit for. If you break it down both of these men have found success in submissions. Something a lot of people don't remember from his TUF days is that Davis started as a boxer. I can see him falling back to his boxing on this fight to at least set up some takedowns.

Kenny Florian v. Gray Maynard- I take Florian in this one because he's been looking really good in the octagon lately. He's taken down Guida, and the legend from pride Gomi. Maynard will pose a wee little threat but I expect Florian to lay down the law.

Mario Miranda
v. Demian Maia- I expect Miranda to show well rounded skills as he takes down the very one-dimensional Maia

Randy Couture
v. James Toney- I expect the veteran at MMA to prevail here. Toney is a very dangerous opponent but Randy has dealt with bigger, and better guys. I am expecting him to take this fight wherever he wants to find success.+ Randy was awesome in the expendables :p

Frankie Edgar v. BJ Penn- I really don't know who to pick in this fight. My hearts with Edgar. He should have had at least one defense before Penn again. Life's not fair though. Best of luck both fighters.

UFC 116 reaction

WOW! That fight card was insane! Pretty much every fight was entertaining from bell to bell. I am completely blown away. Leben has earned my upmost respect. Brock Lesnar actually showed respect and class which I'm all about but he still has yet to earn my respect.

Predictions for UFC: 116

Alright guys. It's been quite awhile from my last prediction dealio. Been very busy but hey! I'm back!
Kurt Pellegrino V. George Sotiropoulos- This fight is incredibly tough to call. Both fighters are on an impressive as hell winning streak. I take Pellegrino in this fight because he shows ever improving skills, as a new wave of Mixed martial artist. He literally doesn't have an incredibly open weak spot in his game. It's solid. Nothing against George but Kurt is batman and he'll show us he can also be super man.

Krzysztof Soszynski v. Stephan Bonnar- In this one I take the "polish experiment" he has solid skills and is quite impressive. It was highly unfortunate last time with the cut and doctor stoppage. A W is a W reguardless and I think the outcome will be the same ion this, but with a more definitive ending.

Matt Brown v. Chris Lytle- This is a personal pick for me. I loved Brown on T.U.F. and he was as Badass as they come. Winner by knockout!

Yoshiro Akiyama v. Chris Leben- Ok here's the deal. Akiyama is fresh from weeks of training. Leben won last weekend. He is gonna be one sore dude b/c of his fight whether or not he admits it. If Leben proves me wrong he oficially has cahones of steel and i have mass respect for him. Which I have never had for him.

Shane Carwin v. Brock Lesnar- I very strongly believe we are going to have a new champion Sat. Shane Carwin is gonna destroy lesnar..Or so I hope XD. I dislike brock lesnar incredibly, c'mon shane let's take it!
